048 : 10 DAYS NGORONGORO

While on a Ngorongoro Safari the most amazing experience is viewing the crater for the first time. As your vehicle slowly ascends through mountain forests you will feel it getting colder and colder. Eventually you reach the rim, and dropping sharply off in front of you is Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater is the best self-contained safari destination in the world. The world's largest unbroken caldera, it is often referred to as the 'Garden of Eden'. The rich pasture and permanent water of the crater floor shelters a large population of animals. In fact, the crater floor is one of the most densely crowded game areas in the world and is home to about 30,000 animals. The open grassland makes it easy to police, so it is also a stronghold for endangered species like black rhino and cheetah.
  


DAY 1:  NAIROBI / MASAI MARA
Leave Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley for Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch.  In the afternoon proceed for a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 2:  MASAI MARA
An extensive morning game drive is followed by a lazy afternoon by the poolside or another game drive. This part of Northern Serengeti is where the great Wildebeest migration is resident and it will be possible to see huge herds of these animals covering much of the Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 3:  MASAI MARA / NAKURU
After breakfast leave Masai Mara Game Reserve for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch.  The flamingoes at Lake Nakuru are often described as the "WORLD'S GREATEST BIRD SPECTACLE". 
The Park is rich in other bird life and there are a surprising number of animals in this small and beautiful reserve.  The night is spent at either a lodge in Lake Nakuru Park or at a hotel on Lake Naivasha .

DAY 4:  NAKURU / NAIROBI / ARUSHA
After a leisurely breakfast leave Nakuru via Nairobi for Arusha (immigration and customs).  Dinner and overnight at a comfortable Hotel in Arusha.

DAY 5:  ARUSHA/ TARANGIRE
Arusha lunch.
After lunch proceed to Tarangire Game Drive upon arrival, Dinner and overnight at the TARANGIRE SOPA LODGE.

DAY 6:  TARANGIRE / SERENGETI
After early breakfast proceed for a game drive. Return to Lodge for lunch.After lunch proceed to Serengeti , game drive en-route. Dinner and overnight at the SOPA Lodge.

DAY 7:  SERENGETI
Early morning game drive, which should prove rewarding as the game is fresh and lively.  Return to the lodge for breakfast.  Rest of the morning at leisure.  Lunch at the Lodge and thereafter Proceed for a further game drive.Return to the SOPA Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8:  SERENGETI / NGORONGORO
After breakfast leave Serengeti for Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge Game drive and picnic lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro SOPA Lodge.



DAY 9:  NGORONGORO
After an early breakfast depart with picnic lunch for a full day Ngorongoro Crater Tour.Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro SOPA Lodge.

DAY 10:  NGORONGORO / ARUSHA / NAIROBI
After breakfast leave Ngorongoro for Arusha.
Lunch at Arusha.  About 2 hours for sight -seeing and shopping and thereafter proceed to Nairobi stopping at Namanga Border ( for Immigration & Customs).  Arrival into Nairobi around evening
