8 Nights/9Days : Samburu - Sweetwaters - Island Camp - Masai Mara
Day 01: Nairobi
On arrival at the Airport you will be met and transferred to NORFORK HOTEL, which is a landmark in Nairobi. Its history goes back to colonial times and it has been updated with modern facilities. The rest of day will be at leisure, overnight at NORFORK HOTEL or similar (BLD).
Day 02: Nairobi - Samburu
After an early morning breakfast you will depart Nairobi and head North through coffee plantations with brief stopover at Equator Line at the base of Mt. Kenya. You will continue with your further North to the arid, thorny landscape of Samburu land to your luxury Camp for lunch.
Samburu Game Reserve situated at the Northern frontier part of Kenya, boosts of rare northern species which are not found south of Equator among them Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Somalia Ostrich, Long necked Gerenuk, dainty dik, Grevy's Zebra and not to mention herds of Elephant, plain games and their predators abound.
The physical features of Samburu and its adjoining reserves is fascinating which include rocky outcrops, prominent mountain ranges, rivers and forests which creates superb landscape.
Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at LARSEN'S TENTED CAMP, a luxury permanent tented camp, on the river banks of the life-giving Uwaso Nyiro River under the canopy of giant acacias. You will have a morning and afternoon game drives in these unique reserves. All meals and overnight at LARSEN'S TENTED CAMP or similar will be something that you can hardly forget or similar (BLD).
Day 03 : Samburu
Leave at dawn for early morning game and later return to the camp for breakfast. Relax at camp for the next few hours before your lunch and later you depart for your late afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at LARSEN'S TENTED CAMP or similar (BLD).
Day 04 : Samburu - Sweetwaters
Today you will continue with your safari to the foothills of Mt. Kenya. On arrival at Ol pejeta Ranch you be served with lunch at SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP. Sweetwaters is luxury tented camp set at the center of Ol pejeta private ranch and has one of the finest Luxury Tents and other modern facilities. The reserve area is 24,000 acres which is a private ranch. Among many advantages of visiting this private are, guest can enjoy special activities not permitted in other Kenyan National Parks and Reserves like escorted game walks, night game drives, horse riding etc.
In reserve you have an opportunity to see herds of elephants, cheetah, lion, jackal, buffalo, eland oryx and don't forget to visit chimps and rhino sanctuary.Enjoy your tour with our company. All meals and and overnight at SWEETWATERS TENTED CAMP or similar (BLD).
Day 05 : Sweetwaters - Lake Baringo
After early morning breakfast leave Sweetwaters and drive down the Eastern walls of the great rift valley to Lake Baringo. On arrival you will be met by the motor boat guide who will facilitate your travel across the lake to Island Camp arriving in time for lunch.
Island Camp is spectacular camp set on its own Island in the middle of Lake Baringo with lovely view of the lake and the surrounding hills. Boats ride among hippos and crocodiles and fascinating bird-life at the lake will be the feature of the afternoon before retreating to your camp for dinner and overnight or similar (BLD).
Day 06 : Lake Baringo - Masai Mara
Morning departure with picnic lunch en-route and drive southwards via Lake Nakuru Town before descending the escapement to Mai Mahiu and proceed to the jewel of Kenyan reserves the Masai Mara. On arrival you check-in at MARA SAROVA TENTED CAMP for a cup of coffee before proceeding for late afternoon game drive.
Masai Mara is the northern section the great Serengeti/Mara ecosystem. The fertile mara plains support a huge amount of plain games and their predators abound - a wildlife spectacle unrivalled anywhere else in the world. It's a home to the big five - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, and vast herds of games.
Your accommodation for the next three nights will be in one of the Mara's luxury tented camp thus offering you a life-time experience nights under canvas in African bushes. The camp is set on a natural elevation between two streams. Each luxury canvas tent, has a permanent roof and floor, attached en-esuite bathroom including flush toilet, sink and hot showers. All meals and overnight at MARA SAROVA TENTED CAMP or similar (BLD).
Day 07 & 08 : Masai Mara
Two nights at Masai Mara with your driver guide who will help you to understand the behaviors of animals as you track them down with morning and afternoon game drives. Between these two days you have an option of early balloon ride. All meals and overnight MARA SAROVA TENTED CAMP or similar (BLD).
Day 09 : Masai Mara - Nairobi
Soon after breakfast it will be time to leave Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi for your lunch at Toona Tree Restaurant. A day room will allow you to relax at Norfolk Hotel and later you will enjoy a complimentary send-off dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant. Thereafter you will be transferred to the Airport for your departure flight back home.
