NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK-----4HOURS
Nairobi is an ultra-modern city but its unique in that within its vicinity is a national park and its precincts an a ward- winning animal sanctuary, where injured animals are nursed back to good health and later released into the wild to roam in the natural habitant.

With 117 square kilometers of pristine savannah and a huge stock of immigrating game, this area is unique. Only 10 km separates the city of Nairobi from the park, where game animals and the huge carnivore which prey upon them, exists as they did in the Africa of old.
The main attraction is lion, cheetah, with hippo in the river though a few rhinos can be seen. There are no elephants. Although more birds have been recorded than in the British Isle, many are seasonal.
There was a time not so long ago, when lions roamed the streets of Nairobi. Nowadays they can be found only 14 kilometres from the city center in Nairobi National Park. This small park contains most of the animals to be seen on more extended safaris such as the rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and plenty of antelopes and gazelles.
